She previously spent eight years covering venture and scale-ups for European tech titles, and before that reported on trade for a regional business daily in Manchester. She is most interested in the unglamorous decisions behind a launch: the first hire, the first office, the first customer.

Tomás Ferreira

Tomás covers European scale-ups crossing borders and the ecosystems that help them do it, from Lisbon to Berlin to Stockholm. Born in Porto, he began his career at a Portuguese financial newspaper before moving to Berlin to report on the city's startup scene. He writes about founders, accelerators and the events where cross-border deals actually start.

Priya reports on Indian and South Asian companies building businesses in the UK and Europe, from SaaS firms opening London offices to consumer brands landing their first retail listings. She grew up in Chennai, studied economics at LSE and spent five years covering technology in Bengaluru before returning to London. She follows the UK-India trade corridor closely.
